‘We were very nervous about our daughter starting school and she is an August born and we were in two minds whether it was the right thing for her.

Starting on her first day she was like many others so very very nervous, as were we. However, our nerves were put at ease within minutes of arriving on day one. The school have a superb settling in process and by the end of week 2 we felt like she had been at the school for a lot longer.

The classroom is adjacent to a wonderful outdoor learning space with the added benefit of a large covered area which our daughter always loved being able to go out to in all weathers.

The school is only 1 form entry, and this is such a positive for us and truly sets it apart from other schools in the area. The school is like one big family and very quickly the children and the teachers all get to know each other’s names. Arriving at school every day and the headteacher knowing your child’s name and knowing how they are doing is really comforting.

I highly recommend Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green to all prospective parents.’

‘We have a child in year 5 and one who has just started reception. We have found all school staff to be polite, cheerful, helpful and happy to listen and answer any questions we may have with regards to learning and any of the child’s personal and academic needs. The children's learning is varied, both academic and practical, children learn to work alone and as part of a team, appreciating other abilities and are encouraged to share their work and be proud of their achievements inside school and out. The small size of the school means lots of staff know the children's names and they are greeted personally on arrival at school. We would recommend Harris Beckenham Green to anyone looking for a happy, supportive environment for their child.’
