Windsor Class (Year 1)
Welcome to Year 1 – Windsor Class!
In Windsor Class, we are proud to be named after the magnificent Windsor Castle — the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world! Located in Berkshire, Windsor Castle has been home to kings and queens for over 1,000 years, and is still used by the Royal Family today.
Just like the castle, our class is strong, proud, and full of history. Windsor Castle is famous for its grand towers, beautiful halls, and special royal events — and this year, we’ll be building our own royal learning journey, full of curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
In Year 1, we take our first exciting steps into Key Stage 1. We'll grow our reading and writing skills, explore numbers and problem-solving, and dive into fun topics like castles, animals, and the world around us. We'll ask big questions, share ideas, and begin to become independent learners — just like the brave knights and clever royals who lived at Windsor!
With the spirit of Windsor Castle behind us, we’ll be aiming high, trying our best, and supporting each other every step of the way.
Windsor Class – where learning is royal and every child shines like a crown jewel!
