Bamburgh Class (Year 5)
Welcome to Year 5 – Bamburgh Class!
We are proud to be Bamburgh Class, named after the breathtaking Bamburgh Castle, which rises high above the Northumberland coast. With its dramatic cliff-top setting, sweeping sea views, and centuries of rich history, Bamburgh is a castle of power, resilience, and legend.
Bamburgh Castle has stood strong since Anglo-Saxon times, once home to ancient kings of Northumbria and later a mighty Norman fortress. It’s a place of stories, strength, and pride — and these are the values we bring to our learning in Year 5.
This is a year of deep thinking and growing independence. We’ll be reading and writing with greater depth, mastering new mathematical strategies, and exploring fascinating topics in science, geography, and history. From persuasive speeches to Viking voyages, we’ll challenge ourselves to think critically, work collaboratively, and lead with confidence.
Just as Bamburgh Castle watches over the land and sea with determination and grace, we in Bamburgh Class will aim high, stand tall, and face every challenge with courage.
Bamburgh Class – strong foundations, fearless minds, and hearts full of curiosity.
