Pevensey Class (Year 4)
Welcome to Year 4 – Pevensey Class!
In Pevensey Class, we are proud to carry the name of one of England’s oldest and most legendary fortresses — Pevensey Castle. Located on the Sussex coast, Pevensey is a place where history comes alive. It was first built by the Romans nearly 1,700 years ago, then strengthened by the Normans after William the Conqueror landed there in 1066.
Pevensey Castle has stood through centuries of battles, sieges, and stories — a symbol of resilience, courage, and change. In Year 4, we’ll embrace those same qualities as we explore new ideas, face fresh challenges, and grow as learners and leaders.
This year, we’ll sharpen our reading, dive deeper into writing, and tackle ambitious maths. We’ll travel through time in history, investigate scientific wonders, and strengthen our voices through discussion and debate. Like the thick stone walls of Pevensey, our learning will be built to last.
Pevensey Class is a place where everyone is encouraged to be bold, to think deeply, and to support one another — because just like the castle, we are stronger together.
Pevensey Class – where ancient history inspires amazing futures!
